OF ORDINANCE 2012 -OR -22
The undersigned , as the duly appointed President of the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, hereby certifies that on the 21, day of May, 2012, the
Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, at its first regular or special
meeting following either (i) the express veto of the above - referenced Ordinance by the
Mayor of Jeffersonville within (10) days after its presentation to him by the City Clerk, or 1
(ii) the failure of the Mayor of Jeffersonville to either approve or veto the above-
referenced Ordinance within ten (10) days after its presentation to him by the City Clerk,
PASSED and ADOPTED the above - referenced Ordinance over the veto of the Mayor of
Jeffersonville by a two - thirds (2/3) vote of its entire membership. The provisions of the
above - referenced Ordinance shall be fully effective from and after such action of the
Common Council in accordance with the provisions of Indiana law.

ORDINANCE NO 2012 -OR-
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE AMENDED
INDIANA CODE 36- 10 -5 -2 AND RE- ESTABLISHING
THE JEFFERSONVILLE PARKS AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville, Clark
County Indiana (hereinafter the "Common Council ") is the City's statutory Fiscal'
and Legislative Bodies.
.WHEREAS, the Common Council previously established the
Jeffersonville Parks Authority pursuant to Indiana Code 36- 10 -5 -2 (as a third
class city) and as set forth in Ordinance 2008 -OR -004.
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 10 -5 -2 was recently amended (effective July
1, 2012), and the legislative intent of said amendment is that Jeffersonville, as a
second class city, may adopt the amended Indiana Code 36- 10 -5 -2 and re-
establish a Parks Authority.
WHEREAS, the Common Council desires to re- establish the Jeffersonville
Parks Authority pursuant to the amended Indiana Code 36- 10 -5 -2 and per the
same terms and provisions as set forth in Ordinance 2008 -OR -004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council that it
hereby adopts the amended Indiana Code 36- 10 -5 -2 and that the Jeffersonville
Parks Authority is hereby re- established per the same terms and provisions as
set forth in Ordinance 2008 -OR -004.
THIS ORDINANCE shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor.
