OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
February 22, 2012
Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:35 A.M., and on the call of roll members presen
were Public Works Coordinator, Rick Lovan and Councilperson Lisa Gill.
Also present was: Fire Chief Eric Hedrick, Information Technology Director Matt Dyer, Parks
Superintendent Paul Northam, Building Commissioner Russ Seagraves, Street Commissioner David
Hosea, Controller Monica Harmon, Human Resource Director Kim Calabro, Sewer Office Manager Ri k
Stephenson, Animal Shelter Director Sara Green, Chief of Police Chris Grimm, Assistant City Enginee Bill
Dixon, City Engineer Andy Crouch, Safety Director Michael Ogg, Redevelopment Director Rob Waiz, ity
Attorney Les Merkley, Corporation Counsel Tom Lowe.
Councilperson Lisa Gill made the motion to approve the minutes from the February 15, 2012 with P blic
Works Coordinator Rick Lovan seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.
Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve the payroll with Councilperson Li a
Gill seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.
OLD BUSINESS
1) Debbie Smith — Naming Streets at America's Place
Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan reviewed Ms. Smith presentation to the Board of Public
Works, February 15, 2012. Mr. Lovan asked if there were any issues with the street named
Resource Way none reported. Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve
the request of naming the Streets at America Place, seconded by Councilperson Lisa Gill, pass ng
on a vote of 3 -0.
2) Andy Crouch — Closing of Riverside Drive at Mulberry
Andy Crouch requested the closing of Riverside Drive at Mulberry, and addition street closur =s
will be addressed at the next Board of Public Works. These road closures will be in June after
Thunder of Louisville. Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to accept the
request of Closing of Riverside Drive at Mulberry, seconded by Councilperson Gill, passing on -
vote of 3 -0.
New Business
1) Angie Pepper — Families for Fathers Walk September It 2012.
Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to table, seconded by Councilperson rill,
passing on a vote 3 -0.
2) Mike Ogg- Approval of Revised Trenching and Shoring Plan
Mike Ogg, Safety Director presented 1 -30 -2012 Rev 2 to the Board of Public Works for appro al.
Corporate Counsel Tom Lowe acknowledged both the Department of Law and Kim Calabro, H'
Director have reviewed and approved the revisions. Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan ma .e
the motion to Approve the Revised Trenching and Shoring Plan, seconded by Councilperson ill,
passing on a vote of 3 -0.
