Human Resources Director Kim Calabro, Assistant Police C ief Glenn Jackson, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bobby Vissing, Sewer Office Manager Rick Stevens, Planning and Zoning Director Shane Corbin, Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon, Redevelopment Direc •r Rob Waiz, Corporation Counsel Tom Lowe, City Attomey Les Merkley, and Deputy Clerk Erica Burres.. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made a motion to approve the minutes from January 18 2012 ith Councilperson Lisa Gill seconding the motion and passing on a vote of 3 -0. Russ Segraves: Update on City Hall renovations Building Commissioner Russ Segraves announced that City Hall renovations are on schedule and should be complete by the first of the month of February. 2.) David Hosea: Handicap Parking Sign for Joseph Hackney at 301 W. 8 Street Street Commissioner David Hosea announced that all with Mr. Hackney's parking sign has be -n resolved. 3.) Lisa GUI: 2011 - 0R - 70 regarding Solicitation Councilperson Lisa Gill presented 2011 -OR -70 that refers to door -to -door solicitation of sales ith regards to the Insight presentation from the January 18'", 2012 meeting. The Ordinance state - that no sales are allowed after 6 p.m., on Sundays, or without proper licensing. New Business 1.) Yvonne Knight: Howard Steamboat Museum Mrs. Knight stated the Museum's appreciation to the City for their support in the past. Mrs. Kni • ht presented a problem to the board conceming High Street behind the museum. The concern is that the street is one -way and there is trouble with drivers being able to see other cars as the • II out onto Market Street. Mrs. Knight requests that the street be reversed to run the other way t• help with this problem. Mayor Moore states that this is a matter that the police department will look into. Mrs. Knight also announced that Museum's is planning the annual Victorian Arts a • Craft's fair this year and is looking to city again for support through Police security on Friday a d Saturday night of the festival, entertainment from the Parks department, and other items such = s chairs, picnic tables, and dumpsters. Mayor Moore stated that the city of Jeffersonville will support this festival again this year. 2.) Bill Dixon: Acceptance of Crystal Springs Section 1 & 2; Villages of Crystal Springs 1 Assistant City Engineer brought before the board a request from Dan Cristiani for the city to assume responsibility for Crystal Springs Section 1 and 2 and the Villages of Crystal Springs section 1 and 2 due to the completion of construction work in that subdivision. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made a motion to approve with councilperson Lisa Gill seconding he motion and passing unanimously. 3.) Glenn Jackson: 145 North ramp on West Court Ave A request was made by Assistant Police Chief Glenn Jackson on behalf of Police Chief Grim to have the 1-65 Northbound ramp from West Court Ave closed during the morning hours of 6:30 AM. to 9 A.M. to help diminish traffic problems on West Court Ave. Engineering Coordinator - idc Lovan made a motion to approve with Councilperson Lisa Gill seconding the motion and passi • unanimously.
