OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
January S. 2012
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:33 a.m. and on the call of roll members present
were councilperson Lisa Gill and Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan.
Also present were: Animal Shelter Director Sarah Green, Human Resources Director Kim
Calabro, Fire Chief Eric Hendrick, Information Technology Director Roger Hardy, Parks
Superintendent Paul Northam, Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, City Engineer Andy
Crouch, WWTP Director Len Ashack, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bobby Vissing, Street
Commissioner David Hosea, Police Chief Chris Grimm, Safety Director Michael Ogg,
Emergency Planner Mindy Christian, Sewer Office Manager Rick Stevens, Controller Monica
Harmon, Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon, Redevelopment Director Rob Waiz, Corporation
Counsel Tom Lowe, City Attorney Les Merkley, and Deputy Clerk Erica Burress.
There was an agreement made to table the minutes from the previous meeting on December
28 2011 until the next meeting on January 11'", 2012.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made a motion to approve payroll with Councilperson Lisa
Gill seconding the motion passing on a vote of 3 -0.

Attorney's Employment Contract
City Attorney Les Merkley proposed a temporary solution to the employment contracts for both
City Attorneys Les Merkley and Tom Lowe. The proposed temporary solution was to use an
appointment contract that would run month to month. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made
the motion to approve with Councilperson Lisa Gill seconding the motion and passing
unanimously.
Vissing Park Contract
City Attorney Les Merkley stated that they are looking into the contract to determine if it is cost
efficient to keep it or cancel it.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to adjourn at 9:39 a.m. with
councilperso .a GUI seconding the motion and passing unanimously.
