OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
December 7, 2011
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:37 a.m. and on the call of the roll those members present were
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and Councilperson Barbara Wilson.
Also present were: Park Director Bob Manor, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, Communications
Director Larry Thomas, Animal Shelter Director Harry Wilder, Officer Don Grimes, Building Commissioner Russ
Segraves, Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon, Redevelopment Director Thomas Justice, Safety Director Michael
Ogg, Emergency Planner Mindy Christian, Code Enforcement Office Connie Sellers, Fire Chief David Kaskie,
Assistant Fire Chief Mike McCutcheon, Human Resources Director Kim Calabro, I.T. Director Roger Hardy,
WWTP Director Len Ashack, Financial Advisor Monica Harmon, City Attorney Darren Wilder, and Clerk &
Treasurer's Office Representative Amanda Oelze.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve minutes from November 23, 2011, Engineering
Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded and passing unanimously. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to
approve minutes from November 30, 2011, Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded and passing
unanimously.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve payroll. Councilperson Barbara Wilson
seconded, and passing on a vote of 3 -0.
OLD BUSINESS
Speed Hump
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan brought before the board a request for a speed hump on Lancassange. He
also had a request for one to be removed. Safety Director Michael Ogg recommended not taking out the speed
hump. There will be no more speed humps to be put in or taken out for the remainder of the year.
NEW BUSINESS
Signs
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan brought before the board a request from Jeff Main St. to put signs from 65 to
Jeff Businesses. They have sent pictures and where they would like the signs put. Councilperson Barbara Wilson
made the motion to approve, seconded by Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and passing unanimously.
Insurance
Pepper Cooper brought before the board the insurance renewal contracts. After some discussion Councilperson
Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve the contracts as presented, seconded by Engineering Coordinator
Rick Lovan, and passing unanimously.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to adjourn at 10:00 A.M. and Councilperson Barbara
Wilson seconded, passing unanimously.
