September 13, 2011
The regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held on Tuesday, September
13, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room on the second floor in the Jeffersonville City Hall.
Present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, Board Members Keith Stayton, Bill Fry,
Don Sperzcl and Secretary Susan Robertson.
MINUTES
Mr. Stayton made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 9, 2011 meeting after a minor
correction. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fry.
APPROPRIATION REPORT
The appropriation report was reviewed. Mr. Segraves explained the expenditures for the month
of August.
COOLING TOWER
Mr. Segraves reported that the cooling tower has been cleaned twice already since it was
installed and needs cleaned again. The contract with Water Energizers, Inc. included one
cleaning a year. Ile will call Water Energizers and ask why the bottom basin needs cleaned so
much. Each time the basin is cleaned the water is drained and put back in.
SIMPLEX - CORNELL
The fire alarm system was checked yesterday.
GENERATOR
Mr. Segraves said that he put in 600 gallons of fuel in making the tank 213rds full.
FLOOR TILE
The floor tile has been repaired.
FOUNTAIN
The work on the fountain is progressing. A steel plate will be made to cover the existing hole for
the equipment. The irrigation system and landscaping is all that is left to do.
ELEVATOR
Oracle Elevator has informed Mr. Segraves that it is necessary to increase their fees by 2.95 %.
LIGHTING
The exterior lighting for the building was discussed. h was decided to use the cheaper Tight
fixture.
The next meeting will he held on October 11, 2011. The November meeting will be held on
Wednesday, November 9, 2011 due to the 12 being Election Day.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 a.m. on a motion by Mr. Sperrel and seconded by Mr.
Stayton.
