WHEREAS, there is a need to stimulate economic growth mhd
en~loyment to offset the Indiana Army ~u~unition Plant closure.
NOW, THEREFCP~, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City
of Jeffersonville, Indiana that:
1. The Conmon Council hereby authorizes the filing of
said application, jointly with the Indiana Port Cc~mission and
with Clark County, including all understandings and
assurances contained therein, and directs and authorizes
the President of the Clark County Comuission
to act in connection with the application and to provide such
additional information as may be required.
2. Local funds in the amount of $579,750.00 are hereby
c(~mitted as the City's portion of the total grant match of
$702,250.00 with the remaining $122,500.00 in local funds to be
C~aTnitted by the Indiana Port Comnission. ~i~e total project
cost is $2,809,000.00; the Economic Development Administration
grant is $2,106,750.00.
3. The Comnon Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into
a lead entity agreement with Clark County and the Indiana Port
Comnission legally binding all applicant entities for purposes
of the project and authorizing the City of Jeffersonville to
represent and administer the project.
BE IT FdI~HERRESOLVED, that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give
notice as provided by law.
