OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
November 2, 2011
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan sat in for Mayor Galligan and called the meeting to order at 9:36 a.m. and on the call of
the roll those members present were Officer Don Grimes sitting in for Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and Councilperson
Barbara Wilson
Also present were: Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, Street Commissioner David Hosea, Animal Shelter Director
Harry Wilder, Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, Officer Don Grimes, Safety Director Michael Ogg, Police Chief Tim
Deeringer, Communications Director Larry Thomas, Planning & Zoning Director Brian Fogle, Fire Chief David Kaskie,
Assistant Fire Chief Mike McCutcheon, Financial Advisor Monica Harmon, Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon, City Attomey
Darren Wilder, and Clerk & Treasurer's Office Representative Amanda Oelze.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve payroll, Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded, and
passing on a vote of 3-0.

Street Closure
Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon brought before the board a request for a street closure on 8 street at C.A.S.I. from
November 3 to November 4. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve and Officer Don Grimes seconded,
passing unanimously.
Speed Hump
Virginia Peck came before the board to request a sped hum on Forest Dr and Red Bud Rd. She has a petition from the
neighbors. The Street Department is to look into the speed humps and determine if they are needed. Councilperson Barbara
Wilson made the motion to approve, seconded by Officer Don Grimes and passing unanimously.
Sign at Colgate and Missouri
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan brought before the board a request a replace of remove a sign by KYES on 6'" St. The
Street Department is to look at it. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve and second by Officer Don
Grimes and passing unanimously.
Sign
Councilperson Barbara Wilson brought before the board a request for a Children at Play sign on Kewana. Street Department
is to look at it. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve and seconded by Officer Don Grimes, passing
unanimously.
Congratulations
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan stated that he would like to congratulate the Provident Soccor Team for becoming the
State Champions Division 1.

Closure of 8 Street to thru traffic for crossing removal and replacement of ties, crossing timbers and
asphalt; proposed detour route is Nachand In to 10 Street from the West and Sharon Dr to 10 Street from
the East.
