August 9, 2011
The regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held on Tuesday, August 9,
2011 at 9:00 am. in the conference room on the second floor in the Jeffersonville City Hall.
Present were Building Commissioner Russ Segravcs, Keith Stayton, Bill Fry and Secretary
Susan Robertson.
MINUTES
Mr. Stayton made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 12, 2011 meeting. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Fry.
APPROPRIATION REPORT
The appropriation report +as rex iewed.
OLD BUSINESS:
BUDGET
The Board was given a copy of the proposed 2012 budget that was reviewed by Mayor Galligan
and Monica Harmon, Financial Director. Mr. Segraves said the budget is similar to the 2011
budget other than the phone appropriation was cut to $70,000 from $86,000. He said he put in a
category for the 3 floor renovations in the amount of $12,000. Ms. Harmon said it should have
been put in the Capital Reserves account and she put an additional $30,000.00 in there for the
renovation work.
CERAMIC FLOOR TILES
Mr. Segraves said he is still waiting to hear from Flooring Concepts, Inc.
FOUNTAIN
The work is progressing. Mr. Segraves is getting a price on the brick work around the
foundation. The foundation was cut from 30" tall to 18 ". The fountain was purchased by the
Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation Department for $10,000.00 and is 78" tall. It was questioned
about using radius brick due to the small diameter.
SIMPLEX - CORNELL
Mr. Segraves is still waiting to receive the bill from Simplex- Comell for $1,526.00 for the
maintenance for the fire alarm and fire suppression system which is past due.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was no new business to discuss.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 a.m. on a motion by Mr. Stayton and seconded by Mr. Frey.
