OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
August 24, 2011
Mayor Galtigan called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. and on the call of the roll those members
present were Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and Councilperson Barbara Wilson.
Also present were: Parks Director Bob Manor, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing,
Street Commissioner David Hosea, Animal Shelter Director Harry Wilder, Building Commissioner
Russ Segraves. Police Chief Tim Deeringer. Communications Director Larry Thomas, Planning &
Zoning Director Brian Fogle, WWTP Director Len Ashack, City Engineer Andy Crouch, Assistant
City Engineer Bill Dixon, City Attorney Darren Wilder, and Clerk & Treasurers Office
Representative Amanda Oelze.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve minutes from August 3, 2011,
Engineering Coordinator Rick seconded and passing unanimously.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve payroll, Engineering Coordinator Rick
seconded, and passing on a vote of 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS
Street Light
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan brought back before the board a request for a street light at
Court and Watt. The material would cost around $50,000 and there is a plan in place to re -do
Court St. for the Canal. He stated that he did putting $50,000 into something that was going to be
redone would not be a good idea.
NEW BUSINESS
Bridge Closure
Joey Stinson came before the board to request a bridge closure on Sunday. September 18, 2011
from 12 P.M. to 4 P.M. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve and
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded, passing unanimously.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to adjourn at 9:44 A.M. and Councilperson
Barbara W .on seconded, passing unanimously.
