OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
July 27, 2011
Mayor Caftan called the meeting to order at 9:39 a.m. and on the call of the roll
those members present were Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and Councilperson
Barbara Wilson.
Also present were: Parks Director Bob Manor, Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, Officer
Don Grimes, Safety Director Dominick Mongarella, Police Chief Tim Deeringer, Communications
Director Larry Thomas, Planning & Zoning Director Brian Fogle, Emergency Planner Mindy
Christian, W WTP Director Len Ashack, Assistant Fire Chief Mike McCutcheon, City Engineer
Andy Crouch, Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon, Financial Advisor Monica Harmon, City Attorney
Darren Wilder, and Clerk & Treasurers Office Representative Amanda Oeize.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve minutes from July 20, 2011,
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded and passing unanimously.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve payroll, Councilperson Barbara
Wilson seconded, and passing on a vote of 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS
Bridge Closure
Troy Killman with Louisville Sports Commission came before the board to request two bridge
closures. The first will be for the Ironman race on August, 28 from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. and the
second for 2011 Half Marathon on November 12 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Engineering Coordinator
Rick Lovan made the motion to approve, and Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded, passing
unanimously.
Road Closure
Office Don Grimes came before the board to request a four road closures. They will by the 400
block of Meigs Ave between Maple St and Court Ave., Mulberry Street between W. Market St.
and the Flood Wall, the 500 block of Mockingbird Ln, and Penn St. to Maple St to Court St. for the
National Night Out from 6 P.M. to 10 P.M. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion
to approve and Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded, passing unanimously.
Request for Road Block
Deputy Fire Chief Joe Lee came before the board to request a road block to raise funds for a
transfer of a statue. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve and
Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded, passing unanimously.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to adjourn at 9:45 A.M. and Councilperson
