OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
June 22, 2011
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan sat in for Mayor Galligan and called the meeting to order at
9:34 a.m. and on the call of the roll those board members present were Vehicle Maintenance
Director Bubby Vissing sitting in for Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and Councilperson
Barbara Wilson
Also present were: Parks Director Bob Manor, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing.
Street Commissioner David Hosea. Animal Shelter Director Harry Wilder, Building Commissioner
Russ Segraves, Officer Don Grimes, Safety Director Dominick Mongarella, Police Chief Tim
Deeringer, Communications Director Larry Thomas, Planning and Zoning Director Brian Fogle,
Emergency Planner Mindy Christian, Fire Chief David Kaskie, VVVVTP Director Len Ashack.
Assistant Fire Chief Mike McCutcheon, City Engineer Andy Crouch, IT Director Roger Hardy,
Financial Advisor Monica Harmon, City Attorney Darren Wilder, and Clerk & Treasurer's Office
Representative Amanda Oeize.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve minutes from June 15, 2011. Vehicle
Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing seconded and passing unanimously.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve payroll, Vehicle Maintenance Director
Bubby Vissing seconded, and passing on a vote of 3 -0.

NEW BUSINESS
Street Closure
Donna Williams carne before the board to request a street closure on Saturday, September 24.
2011 from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. starting at King Fish on Riverside Dr. and down Spring St. ending at
Warder Park. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve and Vehicle
Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing.
Eastern Cemetery
Sharon Jolley -Grant came before the board to discuss a problem with dogs defecating on
cemetery property in Eastem Cemetery. Police Chief Tim Deeringer commented that he Mr.
Grayson had called him about patrolling around the cemetery. No further action was taken.
Road Closures
Sara Schutz came before the board to request three road closures. The first was on Middle Road
from Perrin Lane to Park on July 9 from 8 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made
the motion to approve, seconded by Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, passing
unanimously. The second request was on July 22. 2011 on Riverside Dr. from Pearl to Wall from
4 P.M. to 11 P.M. The request was on July 29 and July 30 on Riverside Dr from Pearl to Spring
from 12 P.M. Friday, July 29 until 12 A.M. July 30. Barbara Wilson made the motion to table both
requests until June 29. 2011, seconded by Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, passing
unanimously.
Road Closure
Peggy Duffy came before the board to request Nachand Lane from 8 St. to 9 St. be closed on
July 9, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. to 5 P.M for Gather Park to have work done to it. One lane will be
closed going North on Nachand Lane. Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to
approve, seconded by Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, passing unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the board Councilperson Barbara Wilson made
the motion to adjoum at 10:01 A.M. and Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing seconded,
passin unanimously.
