Implementation Project Management
The City of Jeffersonville (Jeffersonville) Wastewater Department (Department) is interested
in converting five Cantex -type dry -pit pump stations into suction lift or submersible pump
stations in order to provide a safer environment for its operations and maintenance (O &M)
staff. The five pump stations are:
• Arctic Springs
• Cedarview •
• Cherry Creek
• Eastern Boulevard
• Silver Creek
The Department would prefer to standardize the pump stations' equipment and
configuration and, if possible, to convert each to a package -type pump station arrangement
This amendment includes the following tasks:
1. Evaluation of Existing Conditions and Improvement Options
2. Development of Proposed Improvements and Cost Opinions
3. Preparation of the Final Report
The Department requested that CH2M HILL amend the CMMS Software Implementation
Project Management contract to discontinue its role as the CMMS implementation project
manager and to utilize the remaining budget to perform the above tasks.
Scope of Work
1 Evaluation of Existing Conditions and Improvement
Options
CH2M HILL will use available information and data provided by the Department to
document the existing conditions at each of the pump stations. CI-12M HILL will also
document any O&M improvements requested by the Department. The following activities
will be conducted to complete the assessment:
1. Develop general sketches or descriptions of each of the pump stations, which will
include basic plan and section views, or information sufficient to establish pump station
equipment and installation parameters;
2. Research existing pump equipment to obtain the pump curves from the manufacturers;
3. Review available pumping and /or flow data to confirm that matching the capacities of
the existing pump stations is suitable for the proposed package pump stations; and
4. Conduct one interview with the Department's pump station manager to document
O &M requirements for the proposed pump station conversions.
CH2M HILL will also contact up to three pump manufacturers to collect information and
data on package pump stations for retrofit applications appropriate for each of the pump
station sites. If possible, CH2M HILL will also contact owners of the package pump stations
to assess the pump station performance and any O &M issues.
After obtaining the above information and data, CH2M HILL will work closely with the
Department to determine the most appropriate equipment application for each of the sites,
with the goal of standardizing on a single manufacturer and on a package configuration.
2 Development of Proposed Improvements and Cost
Opinions
After the Department selects the package pump station manufacturer and configuration,
CH2M HILL will use the sketches developed in Task 1 to prepare improvement drawings
for each site. The improvement drawings will be of sufficient detail to develop conceptual
cost opinions and to solicit quotes from the selected manufacturer. CH2M HILL will
prepare an overall budgetary cost opinion (with a minimum of 30% contingency) for each
site, which will allow the Department to plan and prioritize the pump station conversion
projects.
3 Preparation of Final Report
CH2M HILL will document the results of the above tasks in a final report. One draft will be
prepared and submitted to the Department for review. CH2M HILL will meet with the
Department to receive comments and then prepare and submit a final report.
4 Compensation
Compensation will be paid on an hourly basis per the Standard Hourly Rates Schedule
contained in Attachment B of the Original Agreement with a not -to- exceed price of S23,563,
which is the amount of the budget remaining in the CIvLMS Software Implementation
Project Management project.
The amount paid shall be equal to the cumulative hours charged to the project times the
Engineer's Standard Hourly Rates shown in Attachment B of the Original Agreement for
each applicable employee classification plus reimbursable expenses for mileage, lodging,
and per diem costs. CH2M HILL may alter the distribution of compensation between
individual tasks noted herein to be consistent with services actually rendered, but shall not
exceed the total Not -To- Exceed amount unless approved in writing by the CLIENT.
5 Schedule
CH2M HILL will complete the tasks listed above within 3D days of approval of this
amendment.
IN WITNESS WHEROF, the parties hereto have made and executed this AMENDMENT
