OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
June 8, 2011
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:38 a.m. and on the call of the roll
those members present were Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan and Councilperson
Barbara Wilson.
Also present were: Parks Director Bob Manor, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing,
Street Commissioner David Hosea, Animal Shelter Director Harry Wilder, Building Commissioner
Russ Segraves. Officer Don Grimes, Safety Director Dominick Mongarella, Communications
Director Larry Thomas, Planning and Zoning Director Brian Fogle, Fire Chief David Kaskie,
Assistant Fire Chief Mike McCutcheon, IT Director Roger Hardy, Financial Advisor Monica
Harmon, City Attorney Darren Wilder, and Clerk & Treasurer's Office Representative Amanda
Oelze.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve minutes from June 1, 2011.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded and passing unanimously.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve payroll, Councilperson Barbara
Wilson seconded, and passing on a vote of 3 -0.

NEW BUSINESS
Road Closure
Becky Hutchens came before the board to request a road closure on Spring from Chestnut -
Market to Pearl. She also requested the trolley to run a loop. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan
made the motion to approve, and Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded, passing
unanimously.
Street Closure
Emmett Tyler came before the board to request a street and bridge closure on July 10 from 5
a.m. to 11 a.m. He also requested the use of the trolley from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Councilperson
Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve and Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded,
passing unanimously.
Vendor Permit
Jolie Reinhardt came before the board to request a vendor permit to sell hot dogs on city
property. She was instructed not to block the sidewalk and if she is to sell on private property she
would need the permission of the property owner. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the
motion to approve and Councilperson Wilson seconded, passing unanimously.
Resident Only Parking Sign
Ricky Mayfield came before the board to request a Resident Only Parking Sign at 724 E.
Chestnut street. He was told that there was a $100 fee. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan
made the motion to approve and Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded, passing unanimously.
Speed Bumps
Dave Forsee came before the board to discuss the speed bumps on Sportsman. He requested
that the speed bumps be raised because they are not slowing people down like they should be.
Mayor Galligan stated that they would do a traffic count.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to adjourn at 10:07 A.M. and
Councilperson Barbara Wilson se onded, passing unanimously.
