OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
March 30, 2011
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:36 a.m. and on the
call of the roll those members present were Engineering Coordinator
Rick Lovan and Councilperson Barbara Wilson.
Also present were: Parks Director Bob Manor, Vehicle Maintenance
Director Bubby Vissing, Street Commissioner David Hosea, Animal
Shelter Director Harry Wilder, Officer Don Grimes, Communications
Director Larry Thomas, Emergency Planner Mindy Christian, Sewer
Office Manager Bruce Wright, Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon,
Human Resources Director Kim Calabro, Financial Advisor Monica
Harmon, City Attorney Darren Wilder, and Clerk & Treasurer's Office
Representative Amanda Oelze.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve minutes
from March 23, 2011. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded
and passing unanimously.
Councilperson Barbara Wilson made the motion to approve payroll,
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan seconded, and passing on a vote
of 3 -0.
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Request for Event at Warder Park
John Penezic came before the board to request the use of Warder Park
for the Veterans Association on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 9:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They will only be using tables, chairs, and table
cloths. They will have people to clean up after the vent. The portable
restrooms will go down Saturday and will be picked up on Monday.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to approve the
event on May 21, 2011. Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded,
passing unanimously.
Parking on Thunder
Margaret Mark came before the board to get approval of a letter that
would be sent on Thunder saying people can't park cars on personal
property and charge the people. Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan
made the motion to approve the letter and Councilperson Barbara
Wilson seconded, passing unanimously.
Also discussed was the widening of the street at Sports Dr and 10"' St.
Mayor Galligan stated that it was under design and once it was
designed that it would be fixed.
3 Way Stop
Teddy Martin came before the boards to request a 3- way -stop at
Syfrus Dr. and Middle Rd. Mayor Galligan stated that there would be a
traffic engineer do a study and they put in a stop light instead of a a-
way -stop. Teddy also requested a speed bump and he was instructed
to get a petition with the neighbors' signatures. They will let him know
when the study is finished and was the traffic engineer has found.
Engineering Coordinator Rick Lovan made the motion to adjourn at
9:53 a.m. and Councilperson Barbara Wilson seconded, passing
unanimously.
