ORDINANCE GRANTING PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC WAY
Comes now Springhill Commons Partnership having heretofore
filed its Petition to Vacate a Portion of a Public Way in the City
of Jeffersonville, which petition reads as follows:

and notice of said petition and the time and place of the hearing
on the same having been given by the clerk-treasurer of the City of
Jeffersonville pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 5-3-1,. which
notice reads as follows:

and the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville having
examined and heard evidence on said petition and being duly advised
in the premises, now finds that said petition should be GRANTED.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville that the real property located in Clark County,
Indiana, as legally described on Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit
"B" which are attached to and made a part of this Ordinance, shall
be and is hereby vacated by the City of Jeffersonville and that the
fee simple title to said portion of said street shall vest in the
Springhill Commons Partnership.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO VACATE PORTION OF PUBLIC WAY (ALLEY)
Notice is hereby given thatSpringhill Commons Partnership has
filed a petition with the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville to vacate a portion of a 20' alley which is a part
of Block No. 6 of the Granite Improvement Company Addition to th~
City of Jeffersonville, Clark Count, Indiana, as recorded in Plat
Book 4, Page 83, in the office of the Recorder of Clark County,
Indiana.
A public hearing will be held on October 7, 1996, at 7:30 p.m.
in the Multi-Purpose Hearing Room on the Third Floor of the City
County Building, 501 E. Court Avenue, Jeffersonville, Indiana, at
which time and place all interested persons will be heard in
reference to the matter set out in ~aid petition. ~

DESCRIPTION
20 FOOT AT.T.EY TO BE VACATED
Being a part of a 20 foot wide existing Alley, said Alley being a
part of Block No. 6 of the Granite Improvement Company Addition
to the City of Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana, as recorded
in Plat Book 4, Page 83, in the office of the Recorder of Clark
County, Indiana and being more fully described as follows, to-
wit:
Co~amencing st the northeast corner of Lot No. 3 of Block No. 6 of
said Granite Improvement CompanyAddition and being the northeast
corner of the land heretofore conveyed to Viola Collins and
Randolph Ward, tenants in common, by deed as recorded in Deed
Drawer 21, Instrument No. 7104 of the Clark County Records of
Deeds; running thence South 85" 35' 45" East along the southerly
right-of-way line of Fifteenth Street, 10 feet to the center of a
20 foot wide Alley; thence South 4° 04' 15" West along the cen-
terline of said alley, 48.00 feet to the true place of beginning
of the oenterline of said Alley to be Vacated to be herein de-
scribed:
Thence continuing South 4° 04' 15" West along said centerline,
302 feet, more or less, to the northerly right-of-way line of
Fourteenth Street and being the end of said Alley to be Vacated.
