MEETING MINUTES
October 13, 2009
1. Call to order
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held Tuesday, October
13, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. in the second floor conference room at The Jeffersonville City Hall.
2. Roll call
Members present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, Don Sperzel and Bill Fry.
3. Approval of minutes from the last meeting
Russ Segraves to suspend the approval of the July 14, 2009 minutes until the next
meeting scheduled on November 10~', 2009.
4.Old Business

a. Stairwell Carpet- Russ has received one bid in July to install carpet and pad $2,754.00.
This bid includes a 4 inch pad. Bill Fry made a motion to accept this bid if the dealer
keeps a similar quote, seconded by Don Sperzel and carried unanimously.
5. New Business
a. IT Humidifier - a bid has been received for $2,600 from Shardein Mechanical to
replace it and install a mist humidifier. Russ made a motion to approve the installation of
a mixing valve on a discharge line to the humidifier, seconded by Bill Fry and carried
unanimously.
b. Flag pole lights -need to be replaced. After a discussion, Russ said this issue is tabled
until Don Sperzel can contact another electrical contractor, and he will report back at the
next meeting.
c. Shardein Mechanical- their contract is expiring. Russ is seeking new bids for our
HVAC system upkeep. This issue is tabled until new bids have been received. Bid
proposals will go out immediately to AA Mechanical. Services, HMC Service Co.,
Scarborough Mechanical Services and Walker Mechanical Services.
Next meeting scheduled for November 10.2009 at 9:00 a.m.
6. Adjournment
a. With no further discussion, Don Sperzel made a motion to adjourn at 9:48 a.m.
seconded by Russ Segraves and carried unanimously.
