HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-22-2009CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT MERIT COMMISSION Thursday, December 22, 2009 6:00 PM The Jeffersonville Fire Department Merit Commission held a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in the City Council Conference Room, 500 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN. The following were present: David Martin -President Ron Glass -Board Member Jeff Frey -Board Member Lyn Ackermon -Board Member Mary Sue Ellenbrand -Stenographer Greg Clark -Attorney CALL TO ORDER: In Mr. Martin's absence Mr. Frey called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. PUBLIC HEARING: A Public Hearing was held to present the Rules and Procedures to the Public. Mr. Frey introduced the Merit Board. Mr. Martin joined the meeting. Mr. Eric .Hedrick, President of the Fire Union Board questioned some of the rules and regulations. These will be addressed in the final draft of the Rules and Procedures. Mr. Rick Vangilder questioned some of the rules and procedures. These will be addressed in the final draft of the Rules and Procedures. Most of the questions regarding rules that are covered by~Indiana Code. After much discussion it~was decided the Merit Commission will redraft the procedures and make them available to the Fire Department. ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Martin asked if there was any additional business. Hearing none Mr. Frey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM.
