OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
December 9, 2009
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: Councilperson Wilson and Councilperson Grooms sat in for Engineer Miller in his absence.
Also present were: Assistant Police Chief Grimes, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, City Attorney
Wilder, Parks Director Manor, Building Commissioner Segraves, Animal Shelter Director Wilder,
Personnel Director Calabro, Growth Coordinator Lovan, Fire Assistant Chief Lee, Communications
Director Thomas, Street Commissioner Hosea, ,Planning and Zoning Director Urban, WWTP Director
Ashack, IT Director Hardy, Sewer Inspector Wright, Assistant Planning and Zoning Director Fogle,
and Deputy Clerk Timberlake.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the payroll as presented and seconded by
Councilperson Grooms and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Customer Only Parking Sign
Mark Scott with Mark's Hair Depot came before the board requesting Customer Only
Parking Signs. Councilperson Wilson made the motion to extend the Customer Only Parking
from Wall St Cafe to Mark's Hair Depot at 410 Wall St., seconded by Councilperson Grooms
and carried unanimously.
Street Lights
Councilperson Grooms made the motion requesting that the City agree to pay'/2 for the
installation of 2 street lights on Country Club Lane. Country Club Estates will be responsible
for paying the other'/2. Councilperson Wilson seconded the motion and the motion passed
unanimously.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion that the board agree to have 3 lights installed at
Meadowlark Lane as long as the City only has to pay for the electricity and no installation
fees, seconded by Councilperson Grooms and carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Councilperson Grooms made the
motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried
