Resolution No. 2003-R-04
A Resolution Giving the Commission President and Secretary-Treasurer
Authority to Execute Documents
Whereas, an RFP was advertised for redevelopment of a certain property located at the
southeast corner of Tenth and Spring Streets, owned by the Jeffersonville Redevelopment
Commission; and
Whereas, redevelopment plans to construct a new AmeriSuites hotel at that location, involving
several local investors as North Springs Development, LLC, were accepted; and
Whereas, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission has determined that an initial deposit
of $10,000 earnest money for the first sixty (60) days is warranted, with a final $10,000 earnest
money to follow for the subsequent sixty (60) day period for the approximately $7 million project;
Now, therefore, it is hereby resolved that Barry Cahill, President, and Edward Zastawny,
Secretary-Treasurer, of the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission be authorized to execute
any and all documents necessary to effectuate the sale of property located at the southeast
corner of Tenth and Spring Streets.
