Resolution No. 2003-R-02
A Resolution Giving the Commission President
Authority to Execute Documents
Whereas, a certain property known as the Prather-Paddocks property at 218 E. Market Street,
owned by the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission, was previously acquired for the
purpose of locating a new building for city offices; and
Whereas, plans to construct a new building for city offices at that location have been dropped;
and
Whereas, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission has determined that it is no longer
necessary to maintain possession of the aforementioned property for the prospective location of
anew city offices building; and
Whereas, Alan Applegate was hired to conduct a title search and prepare a warranty deed for
the property; and
Whereas, documents prepared by Alan Applegate for a title report on said property require the
.signature of the Redevelopment Commission President;
Now, therefore, it is hereby resolved that Barry Cahill, President of the Jeffersonville
Redevelopment Commission be authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to
effectuate the sale of property located at 218 E. Market Street.
