this to attend the Council workshop scheduled for Wednesday~ March 8~
1995 at 6:00 P.M. in the Mayor's Conference Room. Council President
Wilder noted changes in Draft B~ encouraging setting up of an advisory
committee. Mayor Pa~ker does not see the need of a Resolution as
volunteers are desired. Mayor Parker desires the opportunity for
input. Ms. Sharon Hilton explained she does volunteer at the Shelter
and has found Jeffersonville is willing, able~ and interested in
cooperation and support. She has no major issues regarding the
concerns. Her concerns have to do with the outdoor cages and
adoptions. The job at the Animal Shelter is a hand one. The idea of
a Board is to support. She believes a Board would be a continuum and
a help to the animals and employees~ Jeffersonville does have a good
facility and she knows all can work together.
Clerk and Treasurer Spencer explained Resolution No.
95-R-6, A Resolutin to Advertise For An Additional Appropriation
(General Fund - Riverfront Overlook Renovation and Electric). The
$?0,000.00 figure is high, however one change order has been received.
Following all discussion, Councilperson Stemler made the motion to

options to be discussed at the workshop. Chief Dooley stressed the

replacement program. Councilperson Williams commented there should be
an on-going procedure for capital equipment. Clerk and Treasurer
Spencer noted this should be coordinated and coincide with the Police
equipment. Councilperson Williams will work with Clerk and Tresurer
Spencer on this. The Council agreed Chief Dooley should go ahead and
get the specs written. Clerk and Treasurer Spencer needs to know the
amount of money necessary and the time frame.
Councilperson Potter wishes the Red Devils "good luck"
Councilperson Stemler inquired about the change order for
the overlook and if this was due in any way with the delay due to the
Corps of Engineers order to stop work. It is not believed this is the
case, however' details could be received from the Department of

recent letter regarding turning the electric service off and the flood
level. There have been inconsistent decision and policies in the past
and the boaters have been left in the dark. This has resulted in
boaters reluctant to spendl money on improvements.
