Following all discussion, Councilperson Wilson made the motion to suspend the rules for Ordinance No. 95-OR-5A: seconded by Councilperson Williams and carried unanimously. Council President Wilder noted changes in Draft B~ encouraging setting up of an advisory committee. Mayor Pa~ker does not see the need of a Resolution as volunteers are desired. Mayor Parker desires the opportunity for input. Ms. Sharon Hilton explained she does volunteer at the Shelter and has found Jeffersonville is willing, able~ and interested in cooperation and support. She has no major issues regarding the concerns. Her concerns have to do with the outdoor cages and adoptions. The job at the Animal Shelter is a hand one. The idea of a Board is to support. She believes a Board would be a continuum and a help to the animals and employees~ Jeffersonville does have a good facility and she knows all can work together. Clerk and Treasurer Spencer explained Resolution No. 95-R-6, A Resolutin to Advertise For An Additional Appropriation (General Fund - Riverfront Overlook Renovation and Electric). The $?0,000.00 figure is high, however one change order has been received. Chief Dooley stressed the need for something in the near future as there have been three breakdowns in the last i0 days. It would be a "nightmare" to have three units down at one time. There is a need to organize to apply for this money. There are plans for a task force and hopes to link with New Albany and Clarksville.
