MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
APRIL 1, 2009
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:55 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: City Attorney Wilder sitting in for Engineer Miller and Councilperson Wilson.
Also present were: Police Chief Deeringer, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, City Attorney
Wilder, Parks Director Manor, Safety Director Lovan, Sewer Office Manager Mattingly, Building
Commissioner Segraves, Personnel Director Calabro, Receptionist Boone, Street Commissioner Hosea,
Executive Assistant Young, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Police Officer Ueding, Assistant Police
Chief Grimes, IT Director Hardy, Safety Director Mongarella, Communications Director Thomas, and
Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the minutes of 3-25-09 as presented, and
• seconded by Attorney Wilder and carried unanimously.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, and seconded by
Attorney Wilder and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
THUNDER STREET CLOSINGS AND RULES
Officer Ueding presented to the board a list of street closings and rules for Thunder Over
Louisville. Attorney Wilder made the motion to approve the closings and rules, seconded by
Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously.
DOOR TO DOOR /WEED MAN
Dave Waskey asked permission to go door to door promoting his lawn service called "Weed
Man" for three weeks starting Thursday, April 2, 2009. Attorney Wilder made the motion to
approve the request, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously.
• ALLISON LANE
Josh Hillman of Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz presented for approval Change Order #1 in the
amount of $13,253.05 for the Allison Lane sidewalks. Councilperson Wilson made the
motion to approve the Change Order in the amount of $13,253.05 as presented, seconded by
Attorney Wilder and carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Engineer Miller made the
motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:08 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried
