MINUTES OF THE BOARD O U
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MARCH 25, 2009
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: Engineer Miller and Councilperson Wilson.
Also present were: Police Chief Deeringer, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, City Attorney
Wilder, Parks Director Manor, Assistant Fire Chief Grant, Safety Director Lovan, Sewer Office
Manager Mattingly, Building Commissioner Segraves, Planning and Zoning Director Urban, Fire
Chief Harrod, Personnel Director Calabro, City Engineer Crouch, Receptionist Boone, Street
Commissioner Hosea, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Executive Assistant Young, Communications
Director Thomas, and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the minutes of 3-18-09 as presented, and
seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, and seconded by
Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
APPPROVAL OF BPW RESOLUTION 2009-R-2
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve Resolution 2009-R-2 appropriating and
condemning real and personal property for use by the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana for the
acquisition of the River Ridge Redevelopment Authority, seconded by Councilperson Wilson
and carried unanimously. Jorge Lanz stated that previous to this meeting the Sanitary Sewer
Board approved Resolution 2009-R-1 to appropriate and condemn real and personal property
for use by the City of Jeffersonville for the acquisition of the River Ridge Redevelopment
Authority. A condemnation timeline for River Ridge Redevelopment Authority was
presented by Attorney Scott Lewis. City Attorney Darren Wilder said these resolutions will
not need to go before the City Council as they fall under a special statute.

ITALIAN FESTIVAL
Bernardo Carducci asked the Board's approval to hold two Italian Festivals. One is planned
for June 27, 2009 and another for September 25th and 26th, 2009 on Pearl Street. Beer, wine,
and food will be provided as well as live entertainment. Mayor Galligan asked Mr. Carducci
to bring back a layout plan. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the request
tentatively, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Engineer Miller made the
motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:50 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried
unanimously.
