OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MARCH 11, 2009
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: Councilperson Wilson and Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury sitting in for Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Police Chief Deeringer, Human Resources Director Calabro, Executive Assistant
Young, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Asst. Fire Chief Lee, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury,
Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Parks Director Manor, IT Director Hardy, Safety Director Lovan,
Sewer Office Manager Mattingly, Building Commissioner Segraves, City Engineer Crouch, Planning
and Zoning Director Urban, Fire Chief Harrod, Assistant Police Chief Pavey, Street Commissioner
Hosea, Communications Director Thomas, and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the minutes of 3-4-09 and seconded by Vehicle
Maintenance Director Drury.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Vehicle
Maintenance Director Drury and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
JULY 4TH PARADE
Ann Northam requested approval for the Jeffersonville Celebrates Freedom parade on the 41n
of July, 2009. She asked that several streets be blocked from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and that a
banner be hung on Court Avenue. Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the
requests, seconded by Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury and carried unanimously.
DISTRIBUTION OF FLYERS
Cullen Combs asked permission to distribute flyers advertising his portable detailing
business. Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the permit, seconded by
Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury and carried unanimously.
There bein no further discussion to come before the Board, Councilperson Wilson made the
