HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-11-2008,' • MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA JUNE 11, 2008 Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Engineer Miller and Councilperson Wilson. Also present were: Chief of Staff Young, Deputy Fire Chief Lee, Purchase Order Clerk Smith, Police Chief Deeringer, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Street Commissioner Hosea, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Attorney Wilder, Personnel Director Calabro, IT Director Hardy, Safety Director Lovan, Planning and Zoning Director Urban, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Emergency Planner Christian, Building Commissioner Segraves, Assistant Fire Chief Grant, Sewer Office Manager Mattingly, and Deputy Clerk Mayfield. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Councilperson • Wilson and carried unanimously. Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the minutes of 6-4-08 as presented, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS CHANGE ORDER-8T'' ST. SIDEWALK Engineer Miller made the motion to approve Change Order #1 presented by Josh Hillman of Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz in the amount of $-36.35 and seconded by Councilperson Wilson. Mayor Galligan abstained. CHANGE ORDER- CHARLESTOWN PIKE SIDEWALK PHASE 2 Engineer Miller made the motion to approve Change Order #3 presented by Josh Hillman of Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz in the amount of $646.50, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. • 4 Y • MARKET ST. ROAD CLOSURE Engineer Miller made the motion to approve closing Market Street from June 23 to July 3, 2008 one lane at a time, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. ADDITIONAL HOURS FOR LEGAL WORK Engineer Miller made the motion to approve additional hours worked in the month of May by City Attorney Darren Wilder in the amount of $416.66, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. ROLLING RIDGE STREET LIGHT Councilperson Wilson said she received a complaint about the need for a street light on Highway 62 that turns to go to Rolling Ridge subdivision. Engineer Miller said he will check it out. . There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Engineer Miller made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. `I MA OR ATTEST: ).~ l(/c.~~ CLER REASURER
