MINUTES OF
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
DECEMBER 17, 2008
In Mayor Galligan's absence Engineer Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the
roll those members present were: Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury and Councilperson Wilson.
Also present were: Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Building Commissioner Segraves,
Redevelopment Director Robinson, Attorney Wilder, Parks Director Manor, Chief of Staff Young,
Growth Coordinator Lovan, Police Chief Deeringer, Communications Director Thomas, Sewer Office
Manager Mattingly, Assistant Police Pavey, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Assistant Fire Chief
Grant, Fire Chief Harrod, IT Director Hardy, City Engineer Crouch, Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Vehicle
. Maintenance Director Drury and carried unanimously.
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the minutes of 12-10-08 as presented, seconded by
Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
HOT DOG STAND
Kevin Szukalowski asked permission to operate a hot dog stand in front of the County
Building on Court Avenue and on Market Street in front of Jeftboat. He would like to begin
in early spring. After some discussion Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve
permitting him to operate a hot dog stand in front of the County Building on Court Avenue
only, seconded by Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury and carried unanimously.
CITY HALL LANDSCAPING
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the proposal in the amount of $22,243.00
from Walnut Ridge to do the landscaping at City Hall, seconded by Vehicle Maintenance
Director Drury and carried unanimously.
