The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonvllle met in
session in the Mayor's Conference Room in the City-County
Jeffersonvllte, Indiana, at 7:00 P.M. on the 9th day of July
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Thomas R. Galllgan,
with Deputy Clerk Barbara Hollls~ at the desk.

John Perkins, Ron Ellis, Peggy Knight Wilder,

Attorney Sedwlck presented and explained the need for
Resolution No. 96-R-30, A Resolution Concerning the Financing Of Two
(2) Fire Trucks Councilperson Perkins made the motion to pass
Resolution No. 96-R-35, seconded by Council President Williams.
Councllperson Wilson questioned where the funds will come from.
Discussion followed concerning the funding. Following discussion the
motion to pass Resolution No. 96-R-30 passed unanimously.
Deputy Hollis presented a claim for postage for the Clerk
and Treasurer's Office. Councilperson Wilder made the motion to
approve the claim, seconded by Council President Williams, passing
unanimously.

Councllperson Perkins reviewed the Indiana Association Of
Cities and Towns conference in Merrivllle, Indiana, and the National
League of Cities conference that will be held in San Antonio, Texas.
He feels these conferences are beneficial and encourages the Council
to attend. In reviewing the funds in the travel line Coucilperson
Perkins feels an additional $1~,~ may be necessary and suggests a
transfer from Water. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to suspend
the rules for Ordinance No. 96-OR-43, An Ordinance Transferring
Certain Funds Within Same Department (Common Council), seconded by
Councilperson Ellis, passing unanimously. Councilperson Perkins then
made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 96-09-43 on all three readings~
seconded by Councllperson Wilson, passing on the following roll call
vote:

Ayes: Councilpersons Perkins, Ellis Wilder~ Wilson, and
There being no further business to come before the Council,
Councilperson Perkins moved to adjourn at 7:20 o'clock P.M. seconded
by Councllperson Wilson and unanimously carried./?
