OCTOBER 22, 2008
In Mayor Galligan's absence Planning and Zoning Director Urban called the meeting to order at 9:30
a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Engineer Miller and Councilperson Wilson.
Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury sat in as a voting member of the Board.
Also present were: Asst. Police Chief Grimes, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Code
Enforcement Officer Frey, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Attorney Darren Wilder, Parks Director
Manor, Fire Chief Harrod, IT Director Hardy, Events Coordinator Knight, Asst. Fire Chief Grant, Safety
Director Lovan, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Sewer Office Manager Mattingly, Chief of Staff
Young, Field House Director Nord, Personnel Director Calabro, Planning and Zoning Director Urban,
Asst. Fire Chief Lee, Street Commissioner Hosea, Communications Director Thomas, and Deputy Clerk
Mayfield.

HALLOWEEN DOWNTOWN
Events Coordinator Knight told the Board that Court Avenue to Chestnut Street will be
closed at noon on October 27, 2008 in order to prepare for Halloween Downtown.
NEW BUSINESS
HANDICAPPED PARKING-302 MAIN STREET
Sara Nord asked the Board to approve a handicapped parking sign at 302 Main Street for her
father who is handicapped. The police department will check the location. Councilperson
Wilson made the motion to approve the sign pending police approval, seconded by Engineer
Miller and carried unanimously.
RESIDENT ONLY PARKING
Betty Head who resides at 201 E. Riverside Drive asked the Board to approve a resident only
parking sign for her. The police department will check the location. Engineer Miller made
the motion to approve the sign at $100.00 per year pending police approval, and seconded by
Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously.
