An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 2004-OR-068A
"2004 Sewer Pre-Treatment Ordinance"
WHEREAS, Ordinance 2004-OR-068A established uniform requirements for
direct and indirect contributors into the Jeffersonville wastewater collection and treatment
system (POTW) and enabled Jeffersonville ("City") to comply with all applicable State
and Federal laws required by the Clean Water Act of 1977, as amended and the General
Pre-treatment Regulations (40CFR Part 403), as amended;
WHEREAS, the permitted and allowable discharges have changed pursuant to
the mandates and dictates of the United States Federal government since the passage of
this ordinance;
WHEREAS in order to continue to comply with the mandates of Federal Law
the City Council hereby amends the above ordinance more specifically at Section 50.31
and adopts those Limitations on Wastewater Dischazges as described in the attached
amended: (A copy of which is attached hereto);
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED THAT, the Jeffersonville Common
Council hereby amends the above ordinance in part as specifically set forth in the
attached exhibit; and
All other provisions shall remain in full force and effect as set forth in the original
ordinance.
