AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING DEPARTMENTAL
PETTY CASH AND/OR CASH CHANGE FUNDS
WHEREAS, Petty Cash Funds/ Cash Change Funds currently exist within many City
Departments in the City of Jeffersonville.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City oFJeffersonville has the authority under Indiana
Law to establish a Petty Cash and/or Cash Change fund pursuant to LC. 36-1-8-3.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to increase and/or establish the amount of each Cily
Department's Petty Cash and/or Cash Change Fund.
WHEREAS, the Common Council, having been duly advised, believes that [he Following Petty
Cash and Cash Change Funds shall be established in the following amounts with the listed
personnel position to be responsible for its accounting as prescribed by LC. 36-1-8-3:

CASH CHANGE FUNDS

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any previously established Petty Cash Funds and Cash
Change Funds are hereby dissolved and terminated, and that the above described Petty Cash
Funds and Cash Change Funds shall remain in existence until an Ordinance terminates them, and
upon such termination the fund balances remaining shall revert to the appropriate funds.
