RESOLUTION TO WITHHOLD PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT
FOR INDUSTRIAL WATER RECYCLING CO., INC.
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville passed a resolution
establishing an Economic Revitalization Area and granting a 10 year personal property tax
abatement to IndUstrial Water Recycling Co., Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the 10 year personal property tax abatement granted by the City of
Jeffersonville was contingent upon Industrial Water Recycling Co., Inc. causing no problems
relating to odors, due to the nature of the business of Industrial Water Recycling Co., Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Industrial Water Recycling Co., Inc. has operated the facility located in the
Economic Revitalization Area in such a way as to cause numerous complaints relating to odors
in the area in and around the Economic Revitalization Area previously established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF IEFFERSONVILLE, that Industrial Water Recycling Co., Inc. not be eligible to receive
the benefit of the 10 year personal property tax abatement for the first 5 years, beginning with
1994 taxes (payable in 1995) and continuing through 1999 (payable in 2000).
Passed and adooted by the Common Council of City of Jeffersonville, Clark County, State
