Meeting Minutes
Monday, May 19, 2008
The Jeffersonville Parks Au[horiTy met in special session in the Council
Chambers in City Hall, Jeffersonville, Indiana, on Monday May 19, 2008 at 7:25 P.M.
Pazks Authority President Ron Grooms called the meeting to order. Clerk Treasurer
Peggy Wilder called the roll. Councilpersons Mike Smith, Ed Zastawny, Keith Fetz,
Connie Sellers, Bazbaza Wilson, Nathan Samuel, and Ron Grooms were present. Also
present were: Mayor Galligan, Parks Superintendent Bob Manor, Event Coordinator
Beverly Knight, Council Attorney Larry Wilder, Communications Director Lany
Thomas, and Deputy Clerk Treasurer Barbara Hollis.
Park Au[horiTy Board President Ron Grooms reviewed the agenda.
Councilperson Fe[z made the motion to approve the agenda, second by Councilperson
Samuel, passing on a vote oF7-0.
Following clarification of the claim list, Councilperson Samuel made the motion
to approve the claims as presented, second by Councilperson Wilson, passing on a vote of
7-0.
Following discussion of the Programs Pazk Advisory Board, Council President
Zastawny made the motion to appoint Ms Fay Allen to the Boazd, second by
Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote of 7-0.
A discussion of the purchase of a Parks Department truck funding was discussed.
Councilperson Grooms noted Councilperson Samuel has declined the nomination
to the Board of Zoning Appeals. Councilperson Fetz made the motion to appoint Council
President Ed Zastawny as the Parks Authority Board appointment [o the Board Of Zoning
Appeals, second by Councilperson Samuel, passing on a vote of 7-0. Council President
Zastawny said it is an honor and privilege [o serve.
The meting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
