HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-20-2008• MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA FEBRUARY 20, 2008 Mayor Galligan called the meeting [o order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Engineer Miller and Councilperson Wilson. Also present were: Deputy Fire Chief Lee, Chief of Staff Young, EMC Plant Manager Meyer, Planning and Zoning Direction Urban, Program Director Knighk Vehicle Maintenance Director Dnvy, Building Commissioner Segraves, Street Commissioner Hosea, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Attorney Wildey Personnel Director Calabro, IT Director Hazdy, Pazks Director Manor, Receptionist Timberlake, Communications Director Thomas, Police Chief Deeringer, and Deputy Clerk Mayfield. Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the minutes of 2-13-08 as presented, seconded by • Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. FIRE PROMOTIONS Engineer Miller made the motion to approve promoting Eric Hedrick and John Chris Kinnaird to the rank of Sergeank seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. RENAISSANCE DESIGN BUILDERS Nathan Grimes of Renaissance Design Builders appeazed before the Boazd to present a general services agreement for engineering and design services on an as needed basis. Engineer Miller made the motion Co approve the agreement, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. • EC.NET THUNDER CONCESSIONS Bev Knight appeared before the Board in regard to giving EC. Net control of vendors that come in for the Thunder event. She said many vendors come in with no permits and the city makes no money from them. She said with EC.Net the city will get 35% of the revenue. EIGHTH STREET BID (Mechanic and Pratt Street) Josh Hillman with Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz recommended that the Board approve the bid of Excel Excavating in the amount of $56,557.40. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the bid of Excel Excavating seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously. There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Engineer Miller made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried unanimously.
