MEETING MINUTES
March 11, 2008
Call to order
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held March 11, 2008 at
9:00 a.m. in the second floor conference room at The Jeffersonville City Hall.
Roll call
Members present were President Russ Segaves, MayoF Tom Galligan, Keith Stayton and
Gary Johnson
Staff present: Mary Hunter
Others present: Rick Meynazd
Approval of Minutes
Russ Segraves made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2008 meeting,
seconded by Gary Johnson and carried unanimously.
Old Business
Review of claims;
No claims at this time.
Maintenance Issues:
Due to a leaky valve, the antifreeze that was approved last fall never went into the system
and it will need to be done soon.
Adams Cleaning- started working on March 3`s. They have been doing a great job
cleaning the building.
New Business
Front canopy- Palmer Roofing submitted a bid for the cupola in the amount of $4,700.00
to install new flashing and soffitt. The bid may exceed this amount if the roof panels need
to be replaced. There is a $2,500 deductible fot the roof with State Fann Insurance.
Motion to approve Palmer Roofing made by Gary Johnson, seconded by Russ Segraves
and carved unanimously.
HVAC Controls: ECT Services bid $8,450. Motion to approve the bid for the Control
Board made by Russ Segraves, sewnded by Gary Johnson and caaied unanimously. Rick
Meynard will present this bid at the March 12a', Boazd of Public Works and Safety
meeting in order to get their approval.
Appropriation Report- the report for March was passed out and discussed at the meeting.
The report is not reflecting a break down of the categories. No motion to approve since
this issue has not been cleazed up.
Oracle Elevator- Russ was sent information of an additional safety feature for the
elevator. Rick Meynard will look into this matter.
Judge Ken Pierce has ordered benches to go in the lobby downstairs. He will have them
anchored to the walls instead of the floor.
Building keys- the building keys have been ordered.
Russ set up an account at Sherwin Williams, and the courtroom wall has been repaired
and painted.
Water Source Heat Pump- for the ponce departmem- Shardein Mechanical gave us a bid
of $5,000 to replace the WSHP. It has quieted down and no complaints from the police
department right now.
The Heart meeting date is scheduled for April 8, 2008.
Adjournment
With no further discussion, Gary Johnson made a motion to adjourn at
10:55 a.m. seconded by Russ Segraves and carried unanimously.
