JEFFERSONVILLE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MINUTES
February 12, 2008
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held
Tuesday February 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the second floor conference
room at The Jeffersonville City Hall.
Members present were President Russ Segraves, Gary Johnson, John
Perkins and Mayor Tom Galligan
Staff present Mary Frey
Others present Consultant Rick Maynard.
Approval of Mimutes:
John Perkins made a motion [o approve the minutes of the January 22,
2008 meeting, seconded by Gary Johnson and carried unanimously.
Old Busimess•
General Cleaning Bids for City Hal] were presented by Mazk Adams with
Adams Cleaning ($3775.00) and Dwight Carpenter with Right Choice ($
4475.00) monthly. John Perkins made a motion to accept Adams Cleaning
with aone-year contract that can be terminated with athirty-day notice and
with the stipulation [hat amendments can be made to the contract with prior
approval [hru Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, seconded by Gary
Johnson and approved unanimously. Right Choice Bid will be kept for
secondary company in case Adams Cleaning does not work out.
John Perkins made a motion to inform Cousins Cleaning that their contract
will expire on Mazch 14, 2008, seconded by Gary Johnson. Russ Segraves
will inform Cousins Cleaning with a letter.
John Perkins made a motion that we wait on painting and minor repairs
thru out the building at this time, and that The Building Commissioner will
make these decisions as needed, seconded by Tom Galligan and carried
unanimously.
Russ presented bids on repairing the roof canopy located at the entrance to
City Hall, after some discussion john Perkins made a motion that we get
pricing on replacing the canopy, seconded by Gary Johnson and approved
unanimously.
Russ Segmves stated to the Boazd that Sun Construction would continue to
bill The City for Sewage and Water.
Rick Maynard will reseazch the replacing of control panels.
New Business:
John Perkins made a motion to accept the Jan. 31, 2008 appropriation
report as presented by Russ Segmves, seconded by Gary Johnson and
carried unanimously.
Russ Segmves is working with the Insurance Company and roofing
companies on repairing storm damage.
Russ Segmves stated that the compressor in the police department is being
replaced under warranty and that The Builiding Authority will be the
responsible for the labor.
Russ Segmves will contact Simplex to add Mayor Galligan and Rick
Maynazd on as a contact for emergencies.
With no further discussion John Perkins made a motion to adjourn at
11:00 a.m. seconded by Gary 7ohnson and carried unanimously.
