Monday, March 3, 2008 - 7:00 P.M.
City Hall 3~d Floor Conference Room
Council President Fd Zastawny called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M., and on call of
the roll those members present were: Councilpersons Ed Zastawny, Keith Fetz, Ron
Grooms, Barbaza Wilson, Connie Sellers, Mike Smith, and Nathan Samuel. Also present
were Mayor Tom GaLligan, and Chief Deputy Clerk Treasurer Suzy Bass.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to approve the agenda with the addition of Harry
Wilder from the Anima] Shelter, second by Councilperson Grooms passing on a vote of
7-0.
Animal Shelter
Director Harry Wilder told the Council that they have a chance to hire a very experienced
Animal Control Officer from the County Animal Shelter He also discussed again the
need for a truck for the annexed area. They are currently servicing the awexed area.
The cost for the new employee and truck would be approximately $50,000.00.
Director Wilder told the Council that the new incinerator will be delivered on Mazch17,
2008 and there needs to be some protection built azound it. II does not need to be a
complete structure.
He also said that the spay/neuter committee would like more money this year.
ALI money has been collected from the other communifies.
Park Board Ordinaace
Discussion was held on the Pazk Board Ordinance. Councilperson Sellers would like to
add to the ordinance that if you miss three (3) meetings unexcused, yon will replaced on
[he Board. The motion was made by Councilperson Fe[z to pass 2008-OR-04 on the 3`d
reading with the above amendment, seconded by Councilperson Sellers, passing on a vote
of 7-0.
Discussion was held on the CounciPs appointments to the Park Advisory Boazd. The
appointments aze attached. The motion was made by Councilperson Samuel to accept the
Boazd Member appointments, seconded by Councilperson Sellers passing on a vote of 7-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:29 P.M. a
