MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
FEBRUARY 13, 2008
In Mayor Galligan's absence Engineer Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call ofthe
roll those members present were: Building Commissioner Segraves sitting in for Engineer Miller and
Councilperson Wilson.
Also present were: Chief of Staff Young, Ass1. Police Chief Pavey, Vehicle Maintenance Director
Drury, Building Commissioner Segraves, Street Commissioner Hosea, Animal Shelter Director Wilder,
Attorney Wilder, Personnel Director Calabro, IT Director Hardy, Parks Director Manor, Receptionist
Timberlake, Communications Director Thomas, Ass1. Fire Chief Decker, Police Chief Deeringer,
Deputy Fire Chief Grant, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Asst. Police Chief Marble, and Deputy
Clerk Mayfield.

FIRE STATIONS
Heather Graninger said the punch lists are being completed. She inquired about the insurance
check for losses incurred due to theft and Attorney Darren Wilder said one check was cut in
August and a second check is being checked into.
CROWE CHIZEK AND CO. SERVICE AGREEMENT
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve the service agreement between Crowe
Chizek and the City of Jeffersonville pending approval by Clerk Treasurer Wilder and Mayor
Galligan, and seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously.
EIGHTH STREET SIDEWALK BIDS
Josh Hillman of Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz opened bids on the 8th Street Sidewalk (Mechanic
S1. to Pratt Street). (Attached) Councilperson Wilson made the motion to table the bids to
review, seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously. The
engineer's estimate was $80,000.00.
RIVER CITY AUTO TRANSPORT
Anthony Trinkle appeared before the Board for approval to raise his towing fees from $70.00
to $80.00 and the storage fee from $15.00 to $20.00. Building Commissioner Segraves made
the motion to approve the request, seconded by Council person Wilson and carried
unanimously.
FIRE STATION CLAIMS
Councilperson Wilson made the motion to approve claims to Charlie Wilson Appliance,
Gilles Fitness, Classic Furniture, and Band G Enterprises totaling $19,434.20, seconded by
Building Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously. Councilperson Wilson wants
copies of the bills and purchase orders on all Fire Station claims.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Councilperson Wilson made the
motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:50 a.m., seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves
