JEFFERSONVILLE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MINUTES
September 26, 2007
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held
Wednesday, September 26,2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the second floor
conference room at The Jeffersonville City Hall.
Members present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, President
John Perkins, Gary Johnson, Keith Stayton and Mayor Rob Waiz.
Staff present: Mary Hunter, Mary Frey, Barry Cahill, and Barb Hollis
Others present: Jack Waldrip and Rick Meynard
ADDroval of Minutes:
Russ Segraves made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 11,
2007, meeting seconded by John Perkins, and carried unanimously.
Old Business:
A. 2008 Budget.
. John Perkins and Barbara Hollis gave an update on the 2008
budget. It currently stands at $340,000 includes utilities and
phones.
B. Election of Officers
. Motion made by Mayor Rob Waiz to nominate Russ Segraves.
as President of Building Authority, seconded by John Perkins,
approved unanimously.
C. Review of Claims discussed, Oracle Elevator bill $253.70 (half price)
for elevator maintenance, and Independent Piping $44,750.00, a motion
to approve the payments were made by Russ Segraves, seconded by
John Perkins, and carried unanimously.

D. Maintenance Issues
. Fire/Alarm Sprinkler & Extinguishers (Simplex) Contract terms
requested, it was signed with no dates, Russ Segraves called
Simplex and is awaiting a return phone call regarding this.
. Closed Loop Water Treatment & Antifreeze (Atom Chemical)
was discussed and additional anti-freeze will be needed.
. Snow Removal - Walnut Ridge- this is a year-to-year contract,
approved by Mayor Rob Waiz, and carried unanimously.
. UPS System- (Sobek Enterprises)-Contract discussed and a
motion to approve for a one-year service proposal agreement in
the amount of $275.00 was approved by Mayor Rob Waiz, and
carried unanimously.
. Stemler's Plumbing gave a quote of $200.00 to winterize and
spring start -up of the sprinkler system. Motion made by Russ.
Segraves and approved unanimously.
. Ann's Chem-Dry has given us a quote to clean the corridor
stairs, their charge for the first cleaning is $294.81, motion to
approve made by Russ Segraves and carried unanimously. The:
frequency of future cleanings will be determined at a later time.
. Russ Segraves reported that the Blatter was broken in an
expansion tank, and a verbal estimate for a replacement was
given by Independent Piping in the amount $1,500.00. Russ.
Segraves and John Perkins will work on getting additional
prices for this equipment.
New Business
. The next scheduled meeting dates are planned on Tuesday, October
9th at 9:00 a.m., and Tuesday, October 23rd at 9:00 a.m. Approved
by John Perkins, seconded by Russ Segraves.
Adjournment
With no further discussion, John Perkins made a motion to adjourn at 4:00
p.m. Approved by John Perkins, seconded by Russ Segraves.
