Call to order A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held Tuesday, November 8,2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room at The Jeffersonville City Hall. II. Roll call Members present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, John Perkins, Keith Stayton and Gary Johnson Staff present: Mary Hunter Others present: Jack Waldrip and Rick Meynard III. Approval of minutes from the last meeting Russ Segraves made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 23, 2007 meeting, seconded by John Perkins and carried unanimously. IV. Old business A. Review of claims- (2 bills) . Dallman Systems- bill for camera repair is $195.00 and service bill for $100 for 2 hours of service work in October from Jack Waldrip, motion to approve both bills made by John Perkins, seconded by Russ Segraves, and carried unanimously. B . Vacant board position- no action taken C. Outstanding maintenance issues: . Busted Bladder IH Expansion Tank; on order through Allegiance and should be installed by the second week of November. . Automatic Sprinkler Repairs-Russ Segraves will be working on getting the quotes for this repair. . Closed Loop Water Treatment & Antifreeze- bid received from Atom Chemical in the amount of $3,361.00, motion to approve made by John Perkins, seconded by Gary Johnson and carried unanimously. . Maintenance bids were received from Shardein Mechanical, lIMC, Carrier and Allegiance. Ware declined to submit a bid. Bid summaries explained by Rick Meynard. The contract is for a 2-year service agreement with a 2-year renewal. Motion to approve Shardein Mechanical's bid at $7,400 made by John Perkins, seconded by Russ Segraves, and carried unanimously. . UPS Systems- Eaton Service Proposal! Agreement Monitor Card- new quote is $2,900.00- Rick Meynard is working on it. . Wildcat F ence- the fence has arrived and the plan is to have it installed in November. ... ,~. :;i' Window and canopy le~ks: · There is an issue with the gutters overflowing causing water to run down onto the second and third floor windows and canopy. In order to repair the leaks, Russ will look into finding someone to caulk and seal the windows and make repairs wherever necessary, V. Open issues . This is information related to the transformer damage that occurred on September 25, 2007. The following bills have been submitted to Stat,e Farm Insurance for payment: . Johnson Control Invoice for $363.96 · Air conditioner rental from Paul Davis- invoice total is $419.64. · Handicap sign & pole were ordered from Cornerstone and due to be installed in a few days, and the invoice will be forwarded to State Farm Insurance upon receipt. VI. New business . Rick Meynard will draft a letter to Kentuckiana Comfort Center regarding an itemized list of repairs and passwords needed for the system. The letter will state that when requested repairs are made, a payment of the remaining bill of $36,981.00 will be rendered within 48 hours of completion of said items on list. Motion to approve letter made by John Perkins, seconded by Gary Johnson, and carried unanimously. . The next meeting date is scheduled for November 20th at 9:00 a.m. VII. Adjournment . With no further discussion, John Perkins made a motion to adjourn at 4:00 p.m. seconded by Russ Segraves and carried unanimously.
