OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
OCTOBER 31, 2007
Engineer Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: Street Commissioner Ellis and Councilperson Perkins.
Also present were: Fire Chief Miles, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Vehicle Maintenance ]Director
Drury, Building Commissioner Segraves, City Attorney Merkley, Street Commissioner Ellis,
Redevelopment Director Cahill, Assistant Police Chief Lovan, Planning and Zoning. Director Hicks, and
Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the payroll, .seconded by Street
Commissioner Ellis and carried unanimously.
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the minutes of October 24, 2007,
seconded by Street Commissioner Ellis and carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
SUN DEVELOPERS
Engineer Miller said Sun Developer's gave permission for the parking lot to be used for a
Veteran's Day event on November 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
UPDATE ON FIRE STATIONS
Heather Graninger gave an update on progress made at Fire Stations and City Services
Complex. She also gave an update on pricing for additional work. There was discussion on
the landscaping being held off till the end of the project due to money availability issues.
Councilperson Perkins said three quotes will be gotten. City Attorney Merkley said seeding
will have to be done in order to comply with the drainage ordinance. Councilperson Perkins
made the motion to approve the air conditioning in the T-Comm Room and the Security
System; seconded by Street Commissioner Ellis and carried unanimously.

Josh Hillman with Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz opened bids on the Charlestown Pike Sidewalk
Phase 2.

Councilperson Perkins made the motion to review the bids, seconded by Street Commissioner
Ellis and carried unanimously.
CAR SHOW
Ed Haire asked the Board to approve closure of Watt Street between 7`~' Street and
Court Avenue for a car show to benefit '`Shop with a Cop". Councilperson Perkins made the
motion to approve the closure, seconded by Street Commissioner. Ellis acid carried
unanimously.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE VOUCHER
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve payment to Kovert Hawkins for work
performed for the Fire Stations and City Services Complex in the amount of $7,293.15,
seconded by Street Commissioner Ellis and carried unanimously.
