A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLERK TREASURER OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE TO MAKE NECESSARY TRANSFERS
IN ORDER TO CLOSE OUT THE YEAR 2007
WHEREAS, IC 36-1-2-6(3) designates the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville as the Fiscal Body of said city, and
WHEREAS, IC 36-1-2-9(3) designates the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville as the Legislative Body of said city, and
WHEREAS, IC 36-1-3-3 states that if there is any doubt as to the existence of a power of a unit, the resolution shall be that this
power exists, and
WHEREAS, IC 36-1-3-4 states that a unit has aU other powers necessary or desirable in the Conduct of its affairs, even though not
granted by statute, and .
WHEREAS, IC 36-4-6-18 grants the legislative body of a city, through the passage of ordinances, orders, resolutions, and motions
the authority to control the city's property and finances, and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE
SECTION 1 The Clerk Treasurer of the City of Jeffersonville is hereby authorized to make necessary transfers and pay such claims
as deemed legitimate and necessary to balance accounts in order to close out 2007.
SECTION 2 The authority given in Section 1 of this resolution expires January 1, 2008.
This resolution shall be deemed adopted and in fall force and effect after passage by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville and approval by the Mayor of the City of Jeffersonville, or the timely override of his veto.
