JEFFERSONVILLE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MINUTES
January 9, 2007
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held
Tuesday January 9, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Conference room at
The Jeffersonville City Hall.
Members present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, President
Gary Johnson, Keith Stayton, Calvin Kavanaugh and Mayor Rob Waiz.
Staff present: Les Merkley, City Attorney, and Mary Frey
Others present: Consultant Jack Waldrip, City Councilman John Perkins
and Beautification Committee representative Tony Decker.
.f\poroval of Minutes:
Keith Stayton made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 19,
2006 meeting with the change that the letter to E. H. about the punch list
was sent certified by Mayor Waiz and not the Building Authority,
seconded by Calvin Kavanaugh and carried unanimously.
Old Business:
After discussion with Councilman Perkins, it was decided that Gary
Johnson will set up an informational meeting with Keith Fetz for the
Council to explain and discuss the funding for utilities and reserved funds
as presented in the terms of the lease.
Les Merkley presented lease and after changes that the bi-annual rent
payment be changed from $69,877.50 to $70,000.00, section 1 add that
the landlord be given use of room 113 ahd in section 16 the balance of the
year end fund from $500,000 be changed to $ 750,000.00 and the last
sentence be deleted. After these changes were made Mayor Waiz made a
motion to approve seconded by Calvin Kavanaugh and carried
unanimously.

Mayor Waiz made a motion to approve bid by David Fisher to relocate the
hallway door entrance on first floor for $1,580.00 seconded by Keith
Stayton and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
A motion made by Russ Segraves to pay claims to Boggs Pest Control for
the months of December 2006 and January 2007 in the amount of $190.00
and Waldrip Consulting for $350.00 seconded by Keith Stayton and carried
unanimously.
A Motion by Mayor Waiz to have David Fisher repair fence around
dumpster on west side of City Hall, seconded by Calvin Kavanaugh and
carried unanimously.
Russ Segraves presented 2 bids for installing propylene glycol to the
cooling tower. E.H. bid $ 6,440.00 and Atom Chemical bid $ 4,558.05.
Calvin Cavanaugh made a motion to accept Atom Chemical's bid,
seconded by Keith Stayton and carried unanimously. Russ is to get prices
to install heat tape on the supply water line for the chiller, he will also
receive bids on repairing 3 lights at the rear of property and for the
replacement of a lens cover for a facade light.
It was decided to schedu,le next meeting for January 23,2007 at 9:00a.m.
With no further discussion Keith Stayton made a motion to adjourn at
. 10:35 a.m. seconded by Mayor Waiz and carried unanimously.
