JEFFERSONVILLE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MINUTES
November 28,2006
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held
Tuesday November 28, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the Building Commission
conference room at The Jeffersonville City Hall.
Members present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, President
Gary Johnson, Calvin Kavanaugh, Keith Stayton and Mayor Robert Waiz.
Staff present: Les Merkley, City Attorney
Others present: Jack Waldrip, Consultant
Aooroval of Minutes:
Gary Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 21,
2006 meeting with the change of emergency contact from Abell Electric to
Abtech seconded by Keith Stayton and carried unanimously.
Old Business:
Russ Segraves made a motion to approve option C 12 month maintenance
contract for the emergency generator at a cost of$995.00 with an
additional charge of$510.00 for a four-hour load test with Nixon Power
Service Company seconded by Mayor Rob Waiz and carried unanimously.
Mayor Rob Waiz made a motion to extend the month to month janitorial
contract with Cousins Cleaning to include a day porter from 8: OOa. m.
until 4:30 p.m. The monthly cost will increase from $2500.00 to $3200.00,
seconded by Russ Segraves and carried unanimously.
Keith Stayton made a motion to approve a 12-month contract with Atom
Chemical Inc. for water treatment of the boiler at a cost of $1 00.00
monthly, seconded by Calvin Kavanaugh and carried unanimously.

New Business:
It was agreed that The Building Authority will store all records in the
second floor electrical room (221) and room 143 (mechanical/janitorial)
will be used by.Cousin Cleaning.
With no further discussion Gary Johnson made a motion to adjourn at 4:45
p.m. seconded b Calvin Kavanaugh and carried unanimously.
