JEFFERSONVILLE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MINUTES
November 21,2006
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held
Tuesday November 21,2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the Building Commission
conference room at The Jeffersonville City Hall.
Members present were Building Commissioner Russ Segraves, President
Gary Johnson, Calvin Kavanaugh and Keith Stayton.
Absent: Mayor Robert Waiz
Staff present: Les Merkley
Others present were Jack Waldrip
Aooroval of Minutes:
Keith Stayton made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 14,
2006 meeting seconded by Gary Johnson and carried unanimously.
Old Business:
It was discussed to approve option C maintenance contract for the
emergency generator at a cost of $995.00 with an additional charge of
$510.00 for a 4 hour load test with NIXon Power Service Company. It
was also discussed to program the automatic generator start to every two
weeks. Additional information is needed on the contractor test of the
installation prior to approval of a maintenance contract.
The contract for the :fire protection systems monitoring required a
contactlcalllist of responsible parties to be called in case a system alarm or
trouble. The authorized persons are Russ Segraves, Gary Johnson, Calvin
Kavanaugh,and Keith Stayton.
Keith Stayton made a motion to purchase three trash containers, seconded
By Calvin Kavanaugh and carried unanimously.

New Business:
Tony Decker ask permission for the Beautification Committee to place
three Christmas wreaths on the building. No motion was needed b~cause
no permanent attachment to the building is being made.
Contacts approved for Russ to call in emergencies are Abell and Dan's
Electric Companies, Stemler and Fry Plumbing.
Gary made a motion at 5:15 p.m. to adjourn seconded by Calvin and
