JEFFERSONVILLE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MINUTES
OCTOBER 16, 2006
A regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building Authority was held
Monday October 16, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Building Commission
conference room of The Jeffersonville City Hall. Members present were
Mayor Robert Waiz, Russ Segraves, Keith Stayton and Gary Johnson.
Members absent: Calvin Cavanaugh
Others present: Les Merkley, City Attorney
Aooroval of Minutes:
Gary Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes of October 9,2006
with the correction of the spelling of Seagraves to Segraves and from Gary
Johnson on page 2 to local banks instead of Community Bank seconded by
Keith Stayton and approved unanimously.

New Business:
Election of Officers: Motion was made by Keith Stayton to elect Gary
Johnson as President seconded by Rob Waiz, and carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Gary Johnson to elect Russ Segraves as Secretary
seconded by Rob Waiz, and carried unanimously.
Russ Segraves mentioned that the exterior pole lights outside the police
entrance did not work. Rob Waiz suggested having Danny Braun the City's
Electrician to repair.
The training and winterizing of the lawn sprinkler was discussed and
agreed to winterize sprinklers by Nov. 1,2006 and dQ training on the
system.
It was agreed to place a sewer billing drop box on the exterior of the
building in the vicinity of the front entrance.
It was discussed that the fountain be installed in the spring and the center
circle filled with mulch until the fountain is installed.
Les Merkley announced that he has ordered mugs for the open house on
November 5, 2006. He also stated that he has ordered a plaque for the
building.
Rob Waiz announced that the blinds have not been ordered and would not
be in by open house.
House keeping and maintenance was discussed.
Russ Segraves will present two (2) bids for HV AC maintenance at the next
meeting.
Russ Segraves is still working on the permanent locks and keys for the
building.
Russ Segraves mentioned that the monument sign for the front lawn would
not be in place by the open house.
Russ Segraves mentioned that he was not aware of a date for the
installation of the interior signage.
Russ Segraves informed the Board that E & H construction will be
installing roof diverters on the roof were the two story section meets the
three story section to slow down the rain water.
Russ Segraves mentioned that he talked to Rosa Mosaic Tile regarding the
finish on the terrazzo floor John Cristofoli is to meet with Russ next week
to discuss placing a wax finish on the floor.
It was agreed to have a meeting each week until the end of the year to
discuss bylaws, budgets etc. The next meeting is at 4:00 p.m. October 24,
2006.
Rob Waiz made a motion to adjourn meeting seconded by Keith Stayton
and carried unanimously.
