MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JUNE 6, 2007
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were:
City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Perkins.
Also present were: Fire Chief Miles, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Councilperson Wilson, Parks
Director Poff, Personnel Director Calabro, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Building
Commissioner Segraves, City Attorney Merkley, Redevelopment Director Cahill, IT Director Hardy,
Police Officer Grimes, Street Department Employee Galligan, and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson Perkins
and carried unanimously.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of May 30, 2007 as presented,
seconded by Councilperson Perkins and carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS-
BUSINESS ONLY SIGNS
Councilperson Perkins inquired about the "Business Only" signs for the Wall Street Cafe.
Street Department employee Galligan said the signs have been ordered and should be in this
week.
UPDATE ON FIRE STATIONS
Heather Graninger with Kovert Hawkins gave an update on work performed on the new Fire
Stations and City Services Complex.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE VOUCHER FOR FIRE STATION 2, 4, AND CITY SERVICES
COMPLEX
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the claims, seconded by Engineer Miller
and carried unanimously.
HANDICAPPED PARKING
Janet Crenshaw spoke to the Board in regard to a handicapped parking sticker being used by
a person not handicapped at 2008 Spring Street, Apt. B5. The police department will make
contact with the person by the name of Billy Sizemore.

KEN ELLIS CENTER -
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve Pay Application #7 in the amount of
$100,786.90 for the Ken Ellis Center, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
KEN ELLIS DESIGN AND SERVICES
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve Invoice #108478 to the Estopinal Group
in the amount of $545.72, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Councilperson Perkins made the
motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:25 a.m., seconded by Engineer Miller and carried
unanimously.
