MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS .AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JE~'FERSONVILLE, INDIANA
AUGUST 15, 2007
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the .roll those members present were:
.City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Perkins.:,
Also present were: Fire Chief Miles, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Councilperson Wilson, Personnel
Director Calabro, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Building Commissioner Segraves, City
Attorney Merkley, Street Commissioner Ellis, TT Director Hardy, Assistant Police Chief Lovan, and
Purchase Order Clerk Blair.
:Engineer Miller made the motion to approve. the'payroll, seconded by Councilperson Perkins
and carried unanimously.
FIRE STATION UPDATE
Heather Graninger with Kovert Hawkins gave an update on progress at the Fire Stations.
i Bids were opened for the Salt Storage building. 'A bid was obtained from Park Lane
Construction and AML. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to take the bids under
advisement, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
STREET LIGHT REQUEST
A request was made by Julie Weaver for a street; light on Brighton Avenue at the alley.
Engineer Miller is going to check out the location and report back. Engineer Miller made the
motion to take under advisement, seconded by Councilperson Perkins and carried
unanimously.
WATER SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH WA'~SON WATER
City Attorney Merkley presented a water service agreement with Watson Water for approval
for Fire Station #4. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the agreement,
seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.

There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Councilperson Perkins made the
motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 a.m., seconded by Engineer Miller and carried
unanimously.
