MINUTES OF THE SANITARY SEWER BOARD OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE
May 1 , 2007
The Sanitary Sewer Board of the City of Jeffersonville met in regular session in the Mayor's
Conference room in the City Hall, Jeffersonville, Indiana on the 1st day of May, 2007.
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 3:05p.m. Board Members Jeffrey Caldwell and Bill
Saegesser were present. Also present were Mike Meyer, Jorge Lanz, Mark Sneve, Len
Ashack, Bob Miller, Steve Kizer, R. Scott Lewis and Kenny Morrison.
Jeffrey Caldwell moved to approve the agenda as amended, seconded by Bill Saegesser,
passing unanimously.
The claims were presented to the board for approval. Jeffrey Caldwell moved to approve the
claims as presented, seconded by Bill Saegesser, passing unanimously.
Kenny Morrison of Utica addressed the board regarding his sewer bill. Mr. Morrison advised the
board that he currently has well water and his bill is approximately $36.50 a month. Mr. Morrison
asked how the board calculated the amount. Bill advised Mr. Morrison of the ordinance adopted
by the Board. Scott Lewis advised Mr. Mo~rison he can obtain a copy of the ordinance and any
rate study from the clerk treasurer's office.
Mark Sneve presented the Summary of Ongoing Public Work Project.
Bill Saegesser moved to authorize JTL to advertise the bid at the Pump Station, seconded by
Jeffrey Caldwell, passing unanimously.
Bill Saegesser moved to authorize Strand to move forward on Permit for Local Limits as
presented, seconded by Jeffrey Caldwell, passing unanimously.
Jeffrey Caldwell moved to authorize a budget line item with $10,000 for General Accounts for
Strand, seconded by Bill Saegesser, passing unanimously.
Bill Saegesser moved to authorize JTL to advertise for bids on the Longview Beach project,
seconded by Jeffrey Caldwell, passing unanimously.
Jorge presented the Status Report.
Len Ashack presented the Monthly Progress Report.
Mike Meyer presented EMC monthly report for the months of February and March 2007.
the Financial Report for the month of February 2007.
