HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-10-2007''~ , I MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA JANUARY 10, 2007 Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Councilperson Perkins and City Engineer Miller. Also present were: Street Commissioner Ellis, Community Police Officer Jackson, Planning and Zoning Director Hicks, Building Commissioner Segraves, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, IT Director Hardy, Fire Chief Miles, Councilperson Wilson, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Redevelopment Director Cahill, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield. City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson Perkins and carried unanimously. City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of 12-27-06 and 1-3-07 as presented, seconded by Councilperson Perkins and carried unanimously. I ANIMAL PROTECTION ASSOCIATION- Animal Protection Association representative Diane Kircher asked the Board for permission to build a room onto the property being leased from the City and to extend the lease. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the expansion and extension, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. VENDOR PERMIT- Brian Rogers of 9514 Stoneypointe Road in Charlestown asked the Board to approve a vendor permit to sell biscuits and gravy near Jeffboat in the mornings. He would locate his trailer off of Market Street onto a side street. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to grant a three month permit, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. EDWARDS HOUSE MOVING- Stephen Edwards requested permission to move two houses from 2819 and 2817 E. Tenth Street to 412 Myrtle Street. Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the move, ~"` seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. ~1 STREET DEDICATION- Engineer Miller made the motion to approve de icating the streets, storm, and sanitary sewers in Perrin Pointe into the City, seconded by Councilperson Perkins and carried unanimously. AGREEMENT WITH JACOBI, TOOMBS, AND LANZ- Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve an agreement with Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz for GSI Services not to exceed $10,000.00, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. LEASE WITH BUILDING AUTHORITY- Councilperson Perkins made the motion to approve the amended lease with the Building Authority, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. GROUNDBREAKING- `~: , Mayor Waiz said the Fire Station groundbreaking is at 2:30 pm at 2204 E. Tenth Street on Thursday, January 4, 2007.
